When you fill in the "Send a Message" form on our Contact page, we collect:
We only use this information to respond to your enquiry - to get in touch about volunteering, partnerships, school visits, or whatever you've written to us about. We don't use it for marketing, and we don't sell or share it with third parties for their own purposes.
When you submit the form, your details are sent directly to our team inbox (info@waypointseducation.org) using Resend, an email-delivery service that processes the message on our behalf as a data processor. Your submission is not stored in a database on our website - it exists only as the email it generates, which lives in our mailbox under our normal email retention practices.
The website itself is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard technical/connection data (like IP address and request logs) as part of delivering the site and keeping it secure, in its role as our hosting provider.
We process the information you submit through the contact form on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries from people who choose to contact us, and, where relevant, to take steps at your request before entering into a partnership or volunteering arrangement.
We keep contact form emails for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, after which we periodically remove old correspondence. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time - see Section 8.
This public website does not use advertising, marketing, or analytics cookies, and we don't run any third-party tracking scripts. No cookie consent banner is shown because no non-essential cookies are set.
Our Team Portal (for internal staff use) is protected by Cloudflare Access, which sets a single strictly-necessary authentication cookie (CF_Authorization) to verify that a visitor is a signed-in, authorised team member. This cookie is essential for the portal to function and isn't used for tracking or advertising.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask us to: confirm what personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; delete your data; restrict or object to our processing; and receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email info@waypointseducation.org.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Some visitors to our site are students or young people. If you're under 13, please ask a parent, guardian, or teacher to help you get in touch with us rather than submitting the form yourself.
We may update this notice from time to time as our website or practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
